Hp Mediasmart Ex485 Software Download: What You Need to Know Before You Install

I have a EX470. I just purchased a laptop computer with a 64 bit Windows 7 OS and I need input on software support to link to the media server as there is no downloadable software on the HP site and the installation disc does not work on Windows 7. HP tech support could not provide any information on the same. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

On February 25th, 2010 I ordered the HP 3.0 software upgrade for my ex485 WHS. I received an email acknowledging the purchase, and I checked with my credit card issuer and likewise saw that HP had already been paid for that purchase. The new 3.0 software was to be DELIVERED by March 5th, 2010, which is TODAY.

Extracting and re-applying the BIOS requires a few software tools. Download these to another computer and un-rar them. They will be transferred to a MediaSmart Server shared folder. (Note: you could also download them directly onto your MediaSmart Server via the Remote Desktop connection if you have unrar and unzip software loaded on your server)
