On July 18, 2018, Embarcadero released Community Edition for free download. You are not allowed to earn more than $5,000. Library source code and VCL/FMX components are more limited compared to Professional.
Considering the fact that the history of this firm can be traced back as far as 1995, it should come as no great surprise that Embarcadero Technologies decided to include a number of legacy features that are ideal for those who are familiar with the system. A handful of important components which can be immediately accessed include a robust source code library, system-agnostic debugging tools which will operate on any device, full mobile compatibility, both local and embedded app-creation capabilities, and other tools intended to shorten development cycles. In the event that a business earns more revenue than the aforementioned limit, these (and other) toolsets can be integrated into other Delphi IDE variants. So, there will be no reason to upgrade in the future. This helps to reduce any associated downtime. The interface associated with the community edition is similar to other versions such as the Professional, Enterprise or Architect. However, the included FMX and VCL components are slightly limited within the free community edition.
Shared free of charge with our community of freelance developers, startups, students and non-profits, Delphi Community Edition is a full featured IDE for building iOS, Android, Windows and macOS apps from a single Delphi codebase (limited commercial use license). Delphi Community Edition includes a code editor, powerful debugging tools, built-in access to popular local databases with live data at design time, Bluetooth and IoT capabilities and a visual UI designer with support for pixel perfect, platform specific styling.

The latest release of TPerlRegEx is fully compatible with the RegularExpressionsCore unit in Delphi XE. For new code written in Delphi 2010 or earlier, using the latest release of TPerlRegEx is strongly recommended. If you later migrate your code to Delphi XE, all you have to do is replace PerlRegEx with RegularExrpessionsCore in the uses clause of your units.

Today, customers expect to be able to try out your app before they can make the decision to purchase. As a software developer, you cannot afford not to make a trial version of your software available for potential customers to download and try at their own convenience. However, it is equally important that you make the trial version of the app secure enough so that it is limited in some way in terms of time or functionality, yet provide a way for customers to evaluate it in a simple and hassle-free way. This article discusses various effective ways to achieve this goal using the trial or evaluation license functionality of CryptoLicensing, our licensing, copy-protection and hardware-locking solution for software licensing. 2ff7e9595c
